why i like this photo

I like this photo because one its me. Also that when you on in the background its dark around the edges. And I just feel like it makes the red pop. Also love this picture because I have came a long way and I never thought i would be on a college visit taking picture.

20 things about exposure

  1. light and darkness plays a big part in exposure
  2.  Mastering their use is an essential part of developing an intuition for photography.
  3. make sure your picture isn’t underexposed
  4. For example, for the same quantity of water, you can get away with less time in the rain if you pick a bucket that’s really wide
  5. In photography, the exposure settings of aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed are analogous to the width, time and quantity discussed above
  6. there are 3 settings aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed
  7. all settings control exposure differently
  8. Aperture: controls the area over which light can enter your camera
  9. Shutter speed: controls the duration of the exposure
  10. ISO speed: controls the sensitivity of your camera’s sensor to a given amount of light
  11. there is many different combos to get the right exposure with those 3 settings
  12. A camera’s shutter determines when the camera sensor will be open or closed to incoming light from the camera lens
  13. the shutter speed is how long the light is permitted to the camera
  14. “Shutter speed” and “exposure time” refer to the same concept, where a faster shutter speed means a shorter exposure time.
  15. bigger the aperture whole the more light
  16. the ISO speed is how sensitive the camera is to the light
  17. Common ISO speeds include 100, 200, 400 and 800
  18. unlike aperture and shutter speed, a lower ISO speed is almost always desirable
  19. when a photographer says they are “stopping down” or “opening up” their lens they are increasing and decreasing the f stop value
  20. unlike aperture and shutter speed, a lower ISO speed is almost always desirable
